Singapore Airlines rolls out more than 100 new dishes after world’s best award

Singapore Airlines is rolling out more than 100 new and refreshed dishes across every cabin after being named the world’s best airline, pairing the upgrade with new drinks and luxury serviceware.

The carrier has begun a progressive rollout of the expanded menu under its SIA Chefs’ Selection program, covering appetizers, main courses, and desserts in all cabin classes.

Daily Mail travel coverage reports the dining push follows Singapore Airlines’ naming as World’s Best Airline last week, with further beverage, serviceware, and service upgrades set to arrive from November.

In-house and guest chefs developed the dishes with the airline’s catering partners. The goal is straightforward: better food, better presentation, and a sharper overall experience aloft.

Expanded wine and spirits lists are part of the package. So is custom-designed serviceware created with French luxury house Christofle for Suites, First Class, and Business Class.

Customer feedback drove the full review

Mr Yeoh Phee Teik, senior vice president of customer experience, framed the project as a full rethink rather than a cosmetic swap.

Yeoh said:

"At Singapore Airlines, in-flight dining is about much more than the meal itself."

He added that the airline reviewed the experience from the plate to the pour to the service itself:

"Guided by customer feedback, evolving preferences and emerging dining trends, we have reviewed every aspect of the experience, from menu design, seasonal ingredients, and cooking techniques to beverage selection, presentation, and cabin crew service."

And he closed the pitch this way:

"The result is a combination of thoughtfully crafted dishes, carefully curated beverages, elegant serviceware, and thoughtful touches that make dining on board more memorable for our customers."

That is a company talking about standards, taste, and follow-through, not slogans.

Signature plates and cabin-by-cabin polish

Among the refreshed offerings is Fusion Harmony Rojak, a nod to a salad popular in Singapore. Some classes will see prawn cocktail and poached Maine lobster with champagne sauce.

The airline did not publish a full public list of every new plate, wine, or spirit in the material reported. The headline number still stands: more than 100 new and refreshed dishes across economy through the premium cabins.

Serviceware gets equal billing. Christofle’s collaboration targets the front of the plane, Suites, First, and Business, where presentation is part of the product passengers actually pay for.

November wave covers drinks, tableware, and service touches

The progressive dish rollout is already under way. Broader dining enhancements, new beverages, the Christofle pieces, and onboard service touches, are slated to come in from November.

The menu work sits inside a wider product refresh. Singapore Airlines has also pointed to updated cabin products, the KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system, new amenities, and high-speed connectivity as part of the same investment in the travel experience.

Last week’s world’s best title, which drew praise for dedication to customer service, is the backdrop. The airline is spending the goodwill on tangible cabin upgrades rather than resting on the trophy.

What the rollout still leaves open

Exact calendar dates for the award and the first dish drops were not pinned down beyond “last week” and “from November.” Routes, aircraft types, and which regions see the new plates first were not specified either.

Named guest chefs and the catering partner companies were not listed in full. Neither was a complete wine and spirits roster.

Even so, the core claim is clear. A top-ranked global carrier is rebuilding the meal from ingredients and technique through glassware and crew service, and it is putting more than 100 dishes into the air to prove it.

When a company still competes on quality, customer feedback, and real product, not excuses, passengers notice. That is how standards stay high.
