Costco rolls out Disneyland ticket package that can trim $175 off the bill

Costco has rolled out a two-day Disneyland ticket package that can save shoppers $175, a welcome break for families facing steep theme park prices.

The warehouse club put a new Disneyland Resort Park Hopper deal on sale at select locations, bundling two park days with Lightning Lane Multi Pass access that lets guests skip standby lines. At select California warehouses the package runs $329.99 and includes a $60 dining card.

The Sun reported the offer can cut about $175 off typical theme park ticket costs, giving Costco members a concrete way to stretch a family trip without paying full gate rates.

Package undercuts the usual Disneyland adult price

Disneyland Resort’s own website lists a comparable adult ticket around $445. The Costco package sits roughly $115 under that figure before the dining card value is counted, which is how the larger savings pitch lands for shoppers.

Tickets work between October 2 and December 18. The second park day must be used within 13 days of the first. That window covers the fall shoulder season, not peak summer crush dates.

Costco had offered a broader Disneyland Resort vacation package through Costco Travel before dropping it last year. This new ticket-only bundle brings the company back into the park deal business at a simpler price point.

Disney ranks last on affordability while its CFO talks value

HomeToGo figures released in July ranked Disneyland Resort last for affordability among 39 parks across the United States. Those same figures put the California park about $30 more expensive per day than Walt Disney World in Florida.

That ranking sits awkwardly next to recent comments from Disney’s own finance chief. Speaking at an event in San Francisco, Hugh Johnston, CFO of The Walt Disney Company, stressed the need to keep younger families coming through the gates.

Johnston said:

“It’s something that we’re acutely sensitive to because we want to make sure we continue to bring young families, in particular, into the parks and develop that Disney love, right?”

He added:

“So we’re super sensitive to the fact that, particularly in the value times of the year, we keep those ticket prices relatively low so that we can actually encourage those young families to come in.”

Sensitivity is easy to claim. A last-place affordability ranking is harder to spin. Costco’s discount package fills a gap Disney’s everyday pricing still leaves open for budget-minded parents.

Shoppers notice the value

The deal drew quick praise online. One Instagram user wrote:

“Costco has a Disneyland deal right now that is actually WORTH talking about!”

Availability is limited to select warehouses, and the California pricing with the dining card may not match every club. Members will need to check their local store. Exact blackout rules, purchase caps, and membership requirements beyond the published use window were not spelled out in the initial coverage.

Even so, the structure is clear: two Park Hopper days, Lightning Lane Multi Pass, a defined fall window, and a price that undercuts the park’s listed adult rate. For families already squeezed by food, gas, and lodging costs, a membership club shaving real dollars off a Disney trip is practical relief.

When a big-box retailer has to step in with a discount just so young families can afford the “Happiest Place on Earth,” the sticker shock at the gate has already said enough.
